Discover a whole new facet of skiing and snowboarding: backcountry! A great introductory course for travelling off piste including basic beacon use, familiarization with backcountry equipment (touring bindings and skins or snowshoes), and snow analysis. The Avaware course on saturday goes well with the Discover Backcountry course on sunday. This course is at Kootenay Pass.
